The body of Kerala caretaker Soumya Santosh, killed in Israel in a Palestinian rocket attack earlier this week, was brought to India on Saturday morning.

Union Minister V Muraleedharan, Israel`s deputy ambassador Ronnie Yedidia Klein, paid tribute to Soumya during this time.

The plane left Ben-Gurion Airport at around 7 pm on Friday with the body of 30-year-old Soumya.

The Indian embassy in Israel shared this information through a tweet.

Soumya will be cremated after reaching Kerala.

Muralitharan had informed that Soumya`s body is being taken to Kerala via Delhi.

Muralitharan tweeted, "The body of Soumya Santosh, who was killed in the rocket attacks from Gaza, is being brought back from Kerala to Israel via Delhi today, he will reach his ancestral place tomorrow.
