Funds for this will be provided by the District Child Protection Unit that functions under the Social Justice Department. This was decided by the District Child Protection Monitoring Committee at a meeting at the district panchayat conference hall here recently. To ensure the services of Childline in the hilly belt, the District Child Protection Unit will write to the Childline India Foundation seeking a centre in the eastern parts of the district. The meeting also decided to issue directions to the Station House Officers (SHOs) concerned to register cases against erring parents.
