Summary:

There was an attempt to create an impression that the government had tactfully taken over the temple. Though MDB officials tried to implement the court order on October 21, it was impeded. Based on a court order, the temple was declared a public institution on May 23, 2016 and a trustee too was appointed. The court rejected the appointment of the trustee but permitted to maintain it as a public temple. The government was not for capturing temples and would not compromise with those trying to appropriate temples and its assets..
