The new steam locos would be dispatched in 2019 to chug in the NMR section once the periodic overhaul (POH) of two steam locos currently underway at the workshop gets over. The manufacture of the new steam locos are being taken up at the workshop here following sanction from the Railway Board, New Delhi. The official said overhauling of one of the steam locos would be completed by this month-end and the other in January - February next year.
