Summary:

TRICHY: Citing poor funding from the Union government for several schemes, Lok Sabha deputy speaker M Thambidurai has asked Union minister Pon Radhakrishnan to introspect before criticising the state government in this regard. Thambidurai slammed Pon Radhakrishnan for saying the state had not developed during the rule of Dravidian parties and for seeking their eradication from the state. For instance, every parliamentarian was asked to adopt a village in his constituency when BJP took over the reins at the Centre. On the impending bypolls, he said, "We are ready to face bypolls for 20 assembly constituencies whenever it is announced. MP local areas development funds cannot be spent on a single village," he said..
