Trichy: Over Rs 15 lakh cash was stolen from a Tasmac outlet near Thoppuvayal of Pudukottai district on Saturday night.Unidentified men barged into the Tasmac outlet located in an isolated place in the middle of a coconut grove and decamped with cash. The supervisor of the outlet and his assistant are also being interrogated about the incident.This has been the first incident after the outlet was opened in Thoppuvayal. “Isolated location of the Tasmac was an advantage for the perpetrators,” said an official. The incident came to light only on Sunday when the supervisor went to the outlet to open it in the morning.According to Manamelkudi police, supervisor of the Tasmac outlet, Selvanayagam had kept Rs 16 lakh cash locked in the outlet and gone home on Saturday night.When he returned on Sunday morning, he found the front door open.
