20 more new buses alloted for Trichy TNSTC region

Trichy: As many as 20 new buses, which are part of the 275 vehicles flagged off by chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami in Chennai on Thursday were allotted for Trichy region in Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), Kumbakonam. There is no such plan as well,” an official source with the TNSTC said.The new buses inducted to Trichy region is likely to cover outstation destinations such as Madurai, Coimbatore and Velankanni. However, to their disappointment, TNSTC sources confirmed that none of the 20 new buses would ply on city routes.“Some of the mofussil buses that are good in a condition which were replaced by new buses shall be modified and diverted to run as city buses. Similarly, 10 buses are allotted for Kumbakonam region. The new buses were not allotted to cover city destinations..
