Trichy: A man's attempt of walking on the edge of the outer wall of the Thanavalarntha Perumal temple which is perched atop a hill at an altitude of 3,000 feet ended up in a tragedy when the youth slipped and fell down from the hill, at Thalaimalai on the outskirts of Trichy here on Friday. The scene of the youth walking and falling down was captured by one of the onlookers on a mobile phone and went viral on the social media.The information about the incident reached the Thathaingarpettai police of Trichy district and the fire station of Musiri in Trichy. The risky walk around the temple is usually undertaken by devotees on the Saturdays of the Tamil month Purattasi.As soon as he started walking on the rock, he lost balance and rolled down the hill with several people looking on unable to save him.
