Vadodara: Plaster of the ceiling of a municipal school in the Waghodiya Road area of the city fell injuring a girl student on Friday morning. “The contractor had advised that the ceiling fan should not be used for a few days till the material dries and gains strength. The plaster from the ceiling came off and the ceiling fan that was fixed at the same spot hung precariously from the roof.Functionaries of the primary education committee of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) that runs the school rushed to the school in wake of the incident. The ceiling from which the material fell was also fixed recently.The incident took place in the class V classroom of the school when the class was in session. The school is undergoing renovation..
