Ruckus at MSU’s fine arts faculty during admissions

Vadodara: M S University’s famed Faculty of Fine Arts witnessed some anxious moments on Monday when the faculty kicked off its three-day admission process for first-year Bachelors of Visual Arts (BVA).A total of 667 students have applied for admission in BVA.But a group of nearly 28 students from Vadodara, Surat, Telangana and Madhya Pradesh created ruckus at the faculty claiming that although they had applied for admission in BVA, they were not allowed to appear in the entrance test.The faculty officials however clarified that the students had selected Bachelors of Design course which is offered by the Maharaja Ranjitsinh Gaekwad Institute of Design (MRID) and not BVA which had led to the confusion.“After the university has adopted the online admission process, the candidates have to select the programme option online..
