Vadodara: Four labourers died after an embankment collapsed on them at an illegal sand mining site in Gutardi village of Savli taluka on Thursday evening .The victims were identified as Ravindrakumar Vankar, Kalpesh Gohil, Nagin Vanzara and Bhailu Vanzara. Police said that the four and another labourer Dharmendra Vanzara were loading sand that was excavated illegally from a farm located on the banks of Goma River in a tractor. On noticing that the embankment, he suspected that all four of them were buried under it. However, no action was taken by the mines and minerals department of Vadodara district.
