VADODARA: A consumer court in Panchmahal ordered a gas cylinder distribution agency and chief officer of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to pay compensation of Rs 1.8 lakh to a retired accountant of Gujarat State Road Transportation Corporation (GSRTC) for burn injuries his two sons suffered due to fire sparked by leakage in gas cylinder in 2015.Complainant Yusuf Tekrawala was paid Rs 23,350 as compensation for burn injuries and damages to his house due to the fire.Tekrawala, a resident of Shehra, approached the Panchmahal District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum in July last year seeking an amount of Rs two lakh as compensation along with Rs 50,000 towards mental harassment and legal costs..
