Around 500 properties were issued notices in each of the 12 administrative wards of the city. The civic body has threatened to take similar action against other properties too. Vadodara: The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has threatened to severe the drainage and water connections of properties for which property taxes of amounts exceeding Rs 25,000 have remained pending.The civic body has already issued notices threatening to auction such properties if the taxes were not paid by September 30.The VMC had issued the notices last week to 5,000 to 6,000 properties. It is for the first time in the recent past that such an action has been taken by the civic body.VMC has also warned the owners of such properties that they should not transfer or sell their properties to someone else till the dues are settled..
