Vadodara: Nearly 10 lakh families of Vadodara district will be covered under the Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme that was launched across the country on Sunday.Ayushman Bharat provides a coverage of Rs five lakh per family. In Vadodara apart from 19 government hospitals, 34 private hospitals have been listed under the scheme. The scheme that targets the poor, deprived rural families and identifies an occupational category of urban workers’ families as per the latest socio-economic caste census data. Eligible people can avail the benefits in government and listed private hospitals. Ayushman cards were distributed to the beneficiaries during the function.The scheme will be funded with 60% contribution coming from the Centre and remaining from the state..
