CHARUSAT’s team ‘Ojaswat’ to run formula race car in Coimbatore

While a student Kaushal Prajapati is team captain, Parth Lad is team manager while Anand Patel and Abhishek Swarnakar are faculty advisors to the team. The team with the best overall combination of design and construction, financial planning, and performance on the track will emerge victorious.The race car developed by team Ojaswat is 32kg in weight while the tires are imported from United States. VADODARA: Team ‘Ojaswat’ – a group of 21 budding engineers from the Chandubhai S Patel Institute of Engineering and Technology, a constituent institute of Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) will be participating in the national level Formula Race Competition 2018 meant for students.FFS which is organised annually by the Fraternity of Mechanical Automobile Engineers (FMAE) will be held this year at the Kari Motor Speedway , Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu where 30 teams from across the country will participate.The competition is a platform for students to apply their engineering skills to design and construct a Formula category vehicle as per defined performance and safety specifications.FMAE is brought into help for all those budding engineering students curious to showcase their futuristic knack at vehicle designing and fabrication.The competition challenges teams of university graduate and under graduate students to conceive, design, fabricate and compete with their own formula style, autocross racing cars.This year, the students are tested on a range of technical attributes in a mix of static and dynamic events by an experienced panel of judges, including experts from Germany and Russia..
