VADODARA: This Diwali , people from underprivileged background in the city will be able to buy products for just Rs 10 a piece.A city-based NGO will organize ‘Khushiyo nu Kabaat (Cupboard of Happiness)’ on the lines of pop-up retail at the end of this month where beneficiaries can buy toys, sports equipment, clothes, footwear, bags, household items and stationery among other things. The items on sale will be those which have been lying unused.The NGO has placed drums at prominent cafes, restaurants, clubs and stores in the city where Barodians can donate things which they have not used for years, till October 21. A similar sale was held by the NGO in 2017, but on a smaller scale.The trustees said that the products which will be left unsold will be sold to construction workers in city and neighbouring Panchmahal at a token amount of Re 1..
