The forest department had planned a facelift for the lake and develop it as eco-tourism spot three years ago. Vadodara: Wadhwana Lake, one of the popular spots for migratory birds about 40 km from th city, is seeing a huge influx of the winged guests.“Thousands of migratory as well as local birds have already arrived at the lake and the numbers may go up in next one month,” said Neel Solanki, an avid birdwatcher. Most of the birds prefer to move in the marshy spots or islands located in the middle of the lakes. The forest department has also erected watchtowers around the lake for the convenience of the visitors. One has to walk around on the bank of the lake to view the birds and if the visitors are lucky they even to get watch flamingos. But apart from motorable roads, not much has been done on this front yet..
