Bird Flu Alert; 30 Pigeons and 3 Peacock Found Dead

Nidhi Dave, range forest officer (RFO), Vadodara said, “ The samples will be sent to a veterinary doctor on Monday for post-mortem following which they will confirm if they died of Bird Flu.” Dave also confirmed that no marks of injury were found on the body of dead birds.

A village in Karjan taluka too witnessed the death of over 30 pigeons on Sunday morning.

“We got a call from Kiya village that the dead bodies of the birds were lying in the field,” said Jayesh Rathod, range forest officer, Karjan.

Following which, Rathod confirmed they will send the bodies for Post-mortem.

On Friday, there were cases of almost 30 Crows dying and falling off the tree in Vasantpur village of Savli taluka.

After which the locals panicked and called the authorities who started the investigation.
