H1N1 claims three more lives in city

Vadodara: Swine flu claimed three more lives in the city on Monday.A 57-year-old manfrom Diwalipura and a 64-year-old woman from Fatehpura succumbed to the viral infection. Of the 20 that tested positive, 15 are from city while five are from Vadodara rural.The 15 patients who tested positive include eight females and seven males, including two four-year-old kids from Atladra area of the city.The fresh cases have been reported from Fatehpura, Jubileebaug, Makarpura, Subhanpura, Chhani, Bapod and Sama. Health officials also confirmed death of a 35-year-old woman from Tad Faliya area of Dahod at SSG hospital.With this, the death toll due to swine flu in Vadodara this year has reached 37 of which 26 are from within Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) limits while 11 are from Vadodara rural.On Monday, of the total 33 samples of patients which were tested at SSG Hospital, 20 tested positive..
