Process of signage changing to rename Mughalsarai station begins

After coming to power the Yogi Adityanath government had decided to rename Mughalsarai town as DDU Nagar and also the Mughalsarai Junction. VARANASI: With the beginning of signage changing process at the platforms on Friday, the century-old Mughalsarai railway station in Chandauli district is all set to bear a new identity -Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction shortly, though it has already been renamed officially after UP government issued gazette notification in the first week of June. Later, the railway officials erected a symbolic pole and also mentioned its number on September 24, 2017, said public relation inspector of ECR’s Mughalsarai division GK Singh. It has been a key station of the East Central Railway (ECR) linking New Delhi to Kolkata with movement of around 250 trains on a single day.
