Standard of living is improving in UP: Yogi Adityanath

VARANASI: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday claimed that the standard of living of the people has improved since the BJP came to power in the state last year. "As Sonbhadra is the biggest district dominated by Scheduled Tribes, it is being monitored closely by Prime Minister Narendra Modi . As we have adopted the right approach, the standard of living of people has started improving and they are heading towards prosperity," Yogi said while addressing the gathering at a mass marriage function in Robertsganj area of Sonbhadra.The CM appealed to the people to promote mass marriages to check the menace of dowry. "UP has now joined the race of development. The PM is also keeping vigil on development projects here," Yogi told the gathering.Yogi said compared to the previous SP government when only 63,000 houses were allocated under housing schemes for rural areas, his government has sanctioned 8.85 lakhs houses of which Sonbhadra has been given 22,000.He also highlighted how the people in Sonbhadra have benefitted by the Modi government through Ujjwala, ODF and free power connections..
