Vivek Tiwari murder case: 2 more cops suspended for joining protest

VARANASI: Two more UP police constables Shadab Siddiqui and Keshav Pandey of Ghazipur district were suspended on Sunday for wearing black bands to show solidarity to sacked cops accused in Vivek Tiwari murder case . It also appealed the police fraternity to observe fast by boycotting mess on October 11 to show solidarity with Prashant Choudhary and Sandeep Rana. Eleven other constables posted in the same district were sent to the lines after they were spotted joining protest on October 5.IG Varanasi range Vijay Singh Meena said that Shadab instigated Keshav after which the latter uploaded their photographs wearing black bands social media on Saturday.When SP Ghazipur was apprised he asked SP rural to probe the matter and submit a report. Both constables were suspended on Sunday, added Meena.Earlier, two dismissed policemen Avinash Pathak and Brajendra Yadav had been arrested in Mirzapur and Varanasi, respectively, for inciting policemen and garnering support for constable Prashant Choudhary, the prime accused in Apple executive Vivek Tiwari muder case.Yadav and Pathak are founder president and general secretary, respectively, of Arajpatrit Police Welfare Association that had given a call to policemen to wear black bands..
