Varanasi | Tuesday | 9th October, 2018

Summary:

To avoid any mob frenzy, some scenes of Tamil film 'Petta', involving actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui were canned early morning at Assi Ghat in Varanasi this weekend. Nawazuddin played a character hailing from a small town in the film. For the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' actor, Varanasi is a familiar turf as he had stayed for a long time in the city during the shooting of Gangs of Wasseypur, that was conducted largely around the city. The actor, enacting reportedly a politician in the film, was spotted talking on his phone, with the morning Ganga arti being performed in the background, as part of the scene. 'Petta' is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and has superstar Rajinikanth in the main lead..
