VARANASI: An Azamgarh resident, facing a sedition case for alleged ties with the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), was arrested late Sunday, when he was about to board a Sharjah-bound flight at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi. He was swiftly handed over to CISF, who informed the police.SP Azamgarh said, "A police team reached Varanasi airport on late on Sunday and took Faiz to Azamgarh. "DIG Azamgarh (range) said a preliminary probe shows Faiz travelled to Saudi Arabia and worked as tailor between 2015 and 2016.
