Rajnath Singh to lay foundation of CRPF centre in UPs Chandauli

The Union home ministry in May 2018 had directed re-location of two large CRPF establishments from their existing base in Karnataka’s Taralu to Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh. VARANASI: Union home minister Rajnath Singh is visiting his home district Chandauli on Saturday, his first visit after Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed.According to the protocol received here, Singh will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Group Centre of CRPF in Chakia tehsil of Chandauli district.Chandauli district magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal told TOI over phone that all arrangements have been made in view of Singh’s visit to lay the foundation stone of the Group Centre of CRPF.According to reports, the Centre will be developed on a piece of 74 hectares of land..
