136 cases booked against bullion traders

more-inOfficials of the Legal Metrology Department conducted raids on jewellery showrooms across the State and booked 136 cases against the bullion merchants for allegedly deceiving the customers. The department constituted 30 teams and raided on PMJ Jewellers, Visakhapatnam; GRP Jewellers, Gajuwaka; Vaibhav Jewellers, Kakinada; Mumbai Jewellers, M.G. Jewellers, Anantapur; New Andhra Jewellers, Nellore; Sri Nidhi Jewellers, Vizianagaram; Sri Sai Lakshmi Jewellers, Anakapalli; Taibha Jewellers, Kadapa; Srinivasa Jewellery, Kurnool; Ramu Jewellers, Bhimavaram, and other shops. Customers have been requested to check whether the weighing machines were correct and insist that the trader issued bills for all transactions.
