The department constituted 30 teams and raided on PMJ Jewellers, Visakhapatnam; GRP Jewellers, Gajuwaka; Vaibhav Jewellers, Kakinada; Mumbai Jewellers, M.G. Jewellers, Anantapur; New Andhra Jewellers, Nellore; Sri Nidhi Jewellers, Vizianagaram; Sri Sai Lakshmi Jewellers, Anakapalli; Taibha Jewellers, Kadapa; Srinivasa Jewellery, Kurnool; Ramu Jewellers, Bhimavaram, and other shops. Customers have been requested to check whether the weighing machines were correct and insist that the trader issued bills for all transactions. The teams found that the traders were charging equal rate for gold and the stones, weighing machines were not having valid certification from the Legal Metrology officer and the machines were inaccurate, Mr.
