VIJAYAWADA: Four engineering students accidentally drowned in Krishna River at Ferry Ghat near Ibrahimpatnam on Saturday. Though there were not much of inflow in the Krishna river from upstream, as Pattiseema projects started pumping water recently, about 2000 cusecs of water is coming from Godavari River Police and state disaster response personal are still searching for the remaining three students washed away in the river. As he was drowning, the three others rushed to his rescue but were washed away in the heavy water currents. They went to Ibrahimpatnam after the college to see confluence point of Krishna and Godavari rivers.It was learnt that one of the studdent first fell into the waters first. Body of one student was fished out from the river so far by the local fishermen and disaster response teams.The drowned students identified as Praveen (18), Chaitanya (18), Rajkumar (19) and Srinath (19) studying in MIC Engineering College at Kanchikacherla..
