Andhra Pradesh Truck operators to go on strike from July 20

VIJAYAWADA: The All India Motor Transport Congress had given a call to its members across the country to go on indefinite strike from July 20. Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners Association general secretary Y V Eswara Rao , announced the support to the proposed national strike. He also complained against the increasing harassment of the truck drivers and operators on the road by the police, and transport departments. At a meeting here on Thursday, the truck operators of Andhra Pradesh decided to join the national strike call given by the All India Motor Congress Eswara Rao said that they have been asking the Central government to bring down the diesel and petrol prices and should have uniform price across the country..
