KURNOOL: The Srisailam reservoir received its first inflow of water on Saturday for the present kariff season . The water levels at Almatti reservoir reached 1701.90 feet against its FRL of 1705 ft. The Jurala in the upstream of Srisailam is also receiving inflows of 2 lakh cusecs and discharging 1.92 lakh cusecs from Saturday evening. The water level here is at 1044.32 against its FRL of 1045 ft. The reservoir received 1,64,554 cusecs of water on the first day.At 6pm on Saturday, the water level at Srisailam reservoir stood at 826.30 ft against the full reservoir level (FRL) of 885 ft.
With the 1.64 lakh cusecs of inflows, the reservoir now has 45.90 tmcft of water against its capacity of 215.80 tmcft..
