Jana Sena to contest Telangana assembly elections

VIJAYAWADA: The Jana Sena party has formally decided to contest the upcoming Telangana assembly elections. However, it would be a limited contest spread over 20 to 25 assembly constituencies, said Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan Interacting with the mediapersons after opening the party state headquarters here on Saturday, Pawan Kalyan said the party would discuss the issue with the leaders from Telangana besides the Political Affairs Committee. When asked whether they would form an alliance with some party in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh , he said, “It is too early to talk about alliance.”He blamed the Telangana Rastra Samithi for advancing the elections. He said there was no reason for the TRS to dissolve the assembly without completing the full term given to it by the people.Earlier in the day, Pawan Kalyan performed pooja and inaugurated the party state headquarters here. “It is a premature election which is imposed on the people for political reasons,” he asserted..
