AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh government has decided to allocate land for commissioning the Inland Water Ways (IWW) Project in the state.Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Punetha has directed the district collectors of Guntur and Krishna to immediately start the process for acquisition of land to hand-over the same to the IWW project.Reviewing the progress of IWW with the senior officials in the secretariat on Friday, chief secretary directed the officials to issue notification for land acquisition in Maktyala, Ibrahimpatnam in Krishna district and Harischandrapuram in Guntur district . When IWW project officials sought allocation of another three acres for construction of official bungalows in capital city Amaravati, chief secretary assured to refer the issue to the cabinet sub-committee on land allocations in capital city area.The IWW officials said that the 11kv power transmission line at Tadepalle APTDC guest house, 400kv power line between Guntupalli and Tallayapalem villages have become hurdle to the initiating the IWW works..
