Summary:

VIJAYAWADA: The police on Wednesday traced the ONGC's missing lead container with radioactive substance, caesium 137, at an iron scrap shop in Kalidindi village in Krishna district. Officials came to know of the missing radioactive source only three days after the vehicle left ONGC base in Krishna district. Sources in the ONGC said the lead container might have been stolen and sold to the iron scrap shop. This shows that the lorry was not inspected for the radioactive material soon after it reached the ONGC campus in Rajahmundry. The lorry carried the material to Rajahmundry from an ONGC base in Krishna district on January 14..
