Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams TTD), ), which administers the Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala, plans to come out with its first-ever coffee table book soon. The TTD plans to release it in May-June this year with at least 10,000 copies in the first print. The pictures will give glimpses of the transformation of the shrine into a world-class pilgrim centre through the ages. Also mentioned will be the association of Acharya Purushas, Udayavar and saint-poet Tallapaka Annamacharya with the Tirumala temple.“The devotees/readers can traverse back into the history of the temple through the rare photographs retrieved from the TTD archives. There will also be around 150 photographs showcasing the pomp and splendour of the various annual festivals at Tirumala like Srivari Brahmotsavams, Vaikunta Ekadasi and Radhasapthami,” Ramanan told TOI.Ramanan and Vrinda are now working on giving finishing touches to the book’s design and layout..
