Andhra Pradesh to set up industrial corridor development Authority

VIJAYWADA: If all goes well, a new Andhra Pradesh Industrial Corridor Development Authority (APICDA) will be in place. The authority will look into development of nodes as part of the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) and Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC). The government on Tuesday introduced a new Bill pertaining to development of industrial corridors in various places across the state. This will be the nodal body to implement the industrial corridor projects with the headquarters at the new capital Amaravati. Officials said the authority, which will be loosely formed on the lines of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), will take up developing master plans in nodes..
