‘Charting India’s new global integration strategy’ will be the mantra of 2018 summit

The temporary structure includes five convention halls apart from the main hall, discussion rooms and separate space for stalls and parking. State minister for industries N Amarnatha Reddy, who visited the venue and supervised the arrangements on Friday, said the state government expected to sign 400 MoUs worth Rs 3,00,000 crore during this year’s summit. Other dignitaries who would be attending the opening day of the summit include Union ministers Suresh Prabhu, minister of commerce & industry, civil aviation minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.A temporary structure spread over 10 acres has been constructed for the conclave, which will end on Monday (February 26). Visakhapatnam: The focus of 2018 CII-Partnership Summit , being hosted by Vizag for the third consecutive year, will be ‘Charting India’s New Global Integration Strategy’.More than 2,500 delegates from 50 countries across the globe, including Japan and South Korea, besides India will participate in the three-day annual conclave which begins at the APIIC Ground, Harbour Park, on Saturday.Apart from the delegates, commerce and industry ministers from 18 countries will participate in the summit, which would be inaugurated by Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu. The main hall has a seating capacity of over 2,000 people; Faculty lounge, AP pavilion, Russian pavilion, CII office and meeting halls are in Hall 2 while Hall 3 has the CM’s room, various lounges and lunch hall.For the benefit of delegates, help desks have been set up at the airport and railway station by the authorities, while 160 vehicles have been hired to transport VIP guests to the venue..
