So, using his mobile phone as a tool, he decided to shoot short films and documentaries, highlighting various issues in society. I shot a short five-minute film and showed it to various organisations and the Lions Club of Hyderabad came forward to sponsor 12 computers. Interacting with The Hindu on the sidelines, he spoke about his passion and the journey so far. Anshul was here recently to screen his latest award-winning film ‘Mitti’, which is based on farmer suicides, on the request of the Vizag Film Society. In a span of about 10 years, he has shot about 42 films and received close to 102 national and international awards..
