US fintech firm scouts for suitable space to open a centre in Vizag city

Visakhapatnam: The marketing-banking solutions tech firm - Cardlytics - may be the next big name to come up with an outlet in the Fintech Valley Vizag. The officials of the Atlanta, US based data driven fintech organisation are scheduled to visit Vizag on Tuesday to examine the prospects of opening a centre here and also scout for a suitable space for their operations office in the country.“The US based financial services company has been planning to visit us for two months and one of their top executives would be here this week,” Dharmendra Sunkara, CEO-Fintech told TOI. “Our infrastructure team would show them multiple locations like the Fintech Towers, Tech-Mahindra and couple of other locations in the city and the office space available at the respective locations.”“I cannot comment anything further on Cardlytics as they might be sensitive to making any details public at this point of time,” Sunkara adds.The Fintech Valley launched towards the end of 2016 here in the port-city is what the Chandrababu Naidu government aims to develop as a global fintech hub and has about 20 domestic and foreign companies running their operations at present.Sunkara says that they are in touch with “about 10 more companies who are showing interest in Fintech Valley.” “We are at different stages of dialogue with nine to 10 companies of which a couple are from the US, one is Russian and another is Malaysian,” Sunkara said.The Fintech Valley vision of the Andhra Pradesh IT officials got a major fillip earlier this year when Conduent opened its Vizag office in March..
