Floodproof Govt to build 84km protection wall along Vamsadhara in Srikakulam dist

“It is a non-plan project so there will be no financial support from the Centre.The flood wall work requires manpower and machinery. Inundation of villages and crops along river Vamsadhara will end once and for all once the construction work ends. “We expect the work to begin in the next two months, and are hopeful that the project would be ready by March 2020. The farmers who reside along the river mostly depend on paddy crop, which is usually in its tender stage in the month of August.
