Stakeholders in the pharma industry feel that the policy initiative should be tapped to establish the second pharma city in Visakhapatnam district, either at Atchutapuram or Nakkapalli. The second pharma city demand was raised by the Bulk Drug Manufacturers’ Association which had submitted a proposal to the government to become a partner if a suitable site is allotted. The Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City (JNPC) at Parawada is overcrowded, with no space for expansion, the experts in the sector observe.
