CBI probe sought into Visakhapatnam custodial death

VISAKHAPATNAM: The leaders of Mahila Chetana, Human Rights Forum (HRF) and civil liberties associations (CLC), Chaitanya Mahila Sangham , Atheists Association demanded the government to initiate CBI inquiry into the alleged custodial death of habitual offender Gorle Pydiraju. It is recalled that there was news circulated in social media that a habitual offender Pydiraju on September 11.City police initiated an inquiry with the joint city police commissioner D Nagendra Kumar . CBI inquiry is the only solution to bring out the facts, they said. Interestingly, neither the deceased’s family members nor the relatives have come openly to reveal anything about him.Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, leaders K Padma, VS Krishna and Kottapalli Venkata Ramana asked whether Pydiraju is alive or dead. She informed that she too visited the city central crime station for two days but no information was given by the cops,” the people’s organisations leaders said.They further asked that if Pydiraju died in the KGH they why the cops are not revealing admission and discharge or death information..
