Although she hails from a political family, (her father Demudu, former Chintapalli MLA was a senior CPI leader) she has little experience in electoral politics.On the other hand, Kishore Chandra Deo has been a six-time parliamentarian, five times from the Parvathipuram constituency (known as the Araku constituency from 2009) and a Union Minister. However, the erstwhile congressman is contesting on a TDP candidate for the first time.The TDP cadre took out a rally in Araku after Deo filed his nomination papers.The Araku constituency is the second largest constituency in the country in terms of extent (over 450 kms from Palakonda to Rampachodavaram) and has a population close to 20 lakh.
