Andhra Pradesh government extends curfew till June 20

Andhra Pradesh government on Monday extended the curfew and partial lockdown in the state till June 20, 2021.

Chief Minister YS Jagan in a high level meeting with officials of various departments on Covid-19 control measures announced the decision extending the curfew.

However in a slight relief for business unit, curfew relaxation hours have been increased to 2pm.

Though the positivity rate and the number of new cases reduced significantly in the past ten days, the state government has decided to continue with the curfew.

Considering the present Covid-19 situation, the CM permitted the officials to increase the curfew relaxation hours for another two hours.

Shops and business establishments which were functioning from 6am to 12pm can now remain open till 2pm from 11 June.

Public transport like auto rickshaws, cab services and city buses will also stall their operations after 2pm every day.

Government offices will remain open till 2pm.
