Five arrested in Missing boy case in Vizianagram

On Friday a good news came out in which,The Vizianagaram police cracked the mystery behind the murder of a 17-year-old-youngster in the district by nabbing five persons.

The arrested persons have been identified as V Suresh (33), S Sankara Rao (25), M Somulu (40), P Sankar (38), all are natives of Sarika village under Vizianagaram district and G Jagadeesh (38), a resident of Vizag city.

The 17-year-old victim B Pavan Kumar was a carpenter by profession and native of Sarika village under Vizianagaram Rural police station limits in the district.

He was found missing from May 8, 2021 as he didn’t return home after visiting the market, Pavan Kumar’s mother B Latha (a widow) suspected that her son might have been kidnapped.

The Vizianagaram Rural police have registered a missing case and began an investigation.

On July 27, a decomposed body of a man was found in a well near Sarika village and a bike was also found in the well.

Based on the costumes on the body and the bike, Latha has identified that the dead man was her son Pavan Kumar.

The investigation into the case has revealed that the prime accused Suresh loved Pavan Kumar’s sister (who is a 14-year-old-girl) and he proposed to marry her.

The accused Jagadeesh has developed an illicit affair with Pavan Kumar’s mother Latha.

When Pavan Kumar and her mother Latha refused Suresh’s proposal citing that the girl is a minor, Suresh asked Jagadeesh to convince Pavan Kumar and her mother.

However, Pavan Kumar who came to know the illegal affair between Jagadeesh and his mother Latha, warned Jagadeesh not to visit their home.

Both Suresh and Jagadeesh developed grudge on Pavan Kumar and hired three persons, including Pavan Kumar’s friend S Sankara Rao by paying Rs 20,000 to eliminate Pavan Kumar.

On May 8, Pavan Kumar asked for Rs 2,000 as a loan from Suresh for some urgent work.

Suresh has given Rs 1,000 and asked him to come to a lonely place in the evening to give the remaining Rs 1,000.

When Pavan Kumar went to the place on his bike for the money in the evening, Sankara Rao and two others, who are waiting at the location, beaten Pavan Kumar to death, and later they packed the body in a gunny bag and dumped in a well.

DSP of Vizianagaram, P Anil said that during the investigation of the crime, the prime accused confessed the crime and surrendered.

Based on his confession, we have arrested the remaining four persons, he added.
