Breakthrough in city trader’s murder case

more-inCity police appear to have achieved a major breakthrough in the murder case of businessman Vikram Dhamija. Sources said he got in touch with a gang in Jharkhand through a friend and hired them to threaten Vikram and extort some good amount of money. In the meantime, it is learnt that they have taken the Manager and his friend, who assisted in contacting the gang, into custody for questioning. Highly placed sources in the police said the manager who was earlier into chitfund business incurred heavy losses and had gone bankrupt. The gang had come to the city a couple of days ago conducted a recce and landed at Vikram’s house on Monday to threaten him and extort some money..
