Four held on charge of cheating bank

more-inThe Pendurthi police on Monday arrested four persons for allegedly procuring a loan amounting to ? 34 crore using forged documents. In 2014, Gollayya Kapu and others with the forged documents as collateral security, obatinaed a loan of ? 34 crore from overseas branch of SBI at Jubilee Hills. When they found that the passbooks were forged, they informed it to the executive office of Simhachalam temple and the Pendurthi Police registered a case. After registration of the land with the forged documents at Gopalapatnam Sub-Registrar office, they transferred the documents of the land to Gollayya Kapu’s wife as gift deed. The arrested were identified as Bodasakurthi Gollayya Kapu (50), Joka Vishnu Durga Prasad (55), Joka Srinivas (45) and Yetham Veeraswamy (67), all are natives of Kakinada in East Godavari district and residents of the city..
