The official Olympic song 'Hindustani Way' has been launched to encourage the Indian team in the Tokyo Olympics. Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has launched this song today. Song 'Hindustani Way' has been composed by AR Rahman but written and sung by Ananya Birla.

PM Narendra Modi has started a campaign named #cheer4india to encourage the players. This song has been launched under this campaign. Rahman said that he hopes to extend his support and best wishes to Team India through this song.

The Oscar and Grammy award winner said in a statement, "We are all really excited to create this special song and hope that our athletes can feel the Hindustani way, for the entire nation, when they hear it. It was a pleasure working with Ananya on this project."

Birla has co-written the song with Nirmika Singh and Shishir Samant.

Ananya has got a lot of recognition at the international level as well. Ananya has said about this song that it is a matter of pride for her to write and sing this song to cheer the Indian players participating in the Tokyo Olympics. At the same time, Ananya has also expressed great happiness in joining AR Rahman regarding this project. It was like a dream for her. He is her role model and it was a pleasure working with him.

While launching the song, Anurag Thakur has requested all Indians to listen and share the song and increase the enthusiasm of our players.

The music video of the song is directed by Danny Mamik and Sahan Hattangadi, produced by Birla's banner Antimatter Media Pvt.
