Peshawar's team has suffered a big setback before the final match. Team bowler Umaid Asif and batsman Haider Ali have been suspended for violating Covid-19 protocols and both these players will not be available for the final match. Haider Ali's name has also been withdrawn from Pakistan's West Indies and England tours.
Both these players violated the Covid-19 bio bubble and met outsiders on Wednesday 23 June. They also ignored social distancing norms during this.
PCB Chief Operating Director Barrister Salman and PSL Head Babar Hamid have taken this decision. According to an official statement, both the players have not come in contact with the rest of the players since this incident and they have been isolated inside a room.
