After three consecutive losses at home , U Mumba made a strong comeback and outclassed Haryana Steelers 38-32 as captain Anup Kumar and raider Shrikant Jadhav turned out to be the star performers for U Mumba.
On Wednesday, U Mumba made a strong comeback in Pro Kabaddi League 2017 as they outclassed Haryana Steelers 38-32 as captain Anup Kumar and raider Shrikant Jadhav were the star performers for U Mumba. This is first win for U Mumba at their home turf after 3 consecutive losses and with this win, U Mumba have moved up to the 3rd position in Zone A.
“I saw during the warm-up that Haryana players were a little overconfident. It looked like they were taking it easy because they had won their last two matches while we have been losing. So our strategy was to go all out from the word go,” said U Mumba captain Anup Kumar at the post match press conference.
Fans had been earlier left disappointed on Tuesday as U Mumba and Gujarat Fortunegiants match could not take place due to heavy rains in Mumbai. U Mumba will now face Jaipur Pink Panthers on Thursday in their last home leg game of the season at The Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium in Mumbai.
