Yamaha Motor India Group plans laying off 200 employees

In the April-June period, the Japanese two-wheeler produced 38,013 units seeing a decline of 84.78% when compared to the same period last year.

Various media reports suggest that Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer - Yamaha Motor India Group, has planned to lay off about 200 employees across various divisions such as production, procurement, sales and marketing.

The move comes amid Coronavirus pandemic as it lead to low production and sales in the Auto industry. The two-wheeler major is restructuring the production process at the Surajpur plant, Greater Noida.

In the April-June period, the Japanese two-wheeler produced 38,013 units seeing a decline of 84.78% when compared to the same period last year.
