Dehradun: A former woman worker at the BJP’s state office has accused a senior party leader of sexually harassing her more than six months back. The worker alleged that she approached many leaders with incriminating evidence against the leader, but none of them took any action.According to reports, the woman was working as a data entry operator at the BJP’s state office. She alleged that the leader had assaulted her and even sent some objectionable materials.“I have been approaching the senior leaders of the party for the past six months but none of them took any action. Finally, I recorded a video of the man and showed it to many senior leaders. Still, they did not take any action,” she alleged.The former worker further alleged that one of the female party leaders called to her house, where she snatched her phone and destroyed the evidence.“I had all the proofs in the phone but the leader snatched it,” said the woman.Responding to the allegations, BJP state president Vinay Goyal told TOI, “ We do not yet know who the woman is. We will comment only if she comes forward with a complaint.”
